Marlee writes: We have been fortunate in getting some major sponsors who enabled us to concentrate our efforts on assembling 37 presenters for 24 sessions plus Partners' Programme.
Leading the way was generous provincial
support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as well
as federal dollars through the Community Futures Development
Corporation of Chatham-Kent. The Municipality of Chatham-Kent gave both
cash and in-kind support through the Department of Economic Development
and Tourism. Ontario Heritage Trust also provided substantial
contributions.
We are very proud - and have received many
compliments - on
our web site built by Rob Armstrong of Ad-venture Media, our logo
created by Melanie Cons of Hughes Advertising in Chatham and our
brochure compiles by Lisa Caron of Hughes Advertising. Between them
these talented young people have given our conference an elegant clean
brand. Welcome sponsorship indeed.
Thompsons Limited is a
locally-based grain producing company (I am sure you have all enjoyed
Thompsons Popcorn) who believe in family values and support of young
people so we are delighted they are sponsoring our forward-looking Youth
Programme.
Our award winning winery Smith & Wilson Estate
Wines has
joined Chatham-Kent's premier jewellery store Mittons Jewellers Ltd -
founded in 1897 - as two more family-owned businesses who are sponsoring
the event.
Our sponsors' generosity has allowed us to keep costs to
delegates at reasonable levels. A special thank you to a different kind
of sponsor - Lloyd Alter's weekly newsletter has helped us share news
of the conference as it developed. Many thanks Lloyd. Register here.
