We need to communicate to the public that the value of old buildings is about the many many ways they contribute to good urbanism. Because presently many people think we value them only because they're quaint.
Maybe We need architectural conservancy groups to morph into advocacies for the highest quality of built environment, without heritage as one of the major guideposts.
