But most of all, I cannot say enough about Lisa Wood and the ACO Brantford Branch, and the 1700 contributors to the Save Colborne Street Facebook Page, who have demonstrated that heritage is important to everyone of every age . It has been an honour to work with each and every one of this talented gang; the present may not be so pretty, but the future of Brantford is in good hands.

We need to communicate to the public that the value of old buildings is about the many many ways they contribute to good urbanism. Because presently many people think we value them only because they're quaint.
Maybe We need architectural conservancy groups to morph into advocacies for the highest quality of built environment, without heritage as one of the major guideposts.
